Abraham Gepner, a wealthy jew and leader of the Merchants Association in Poland and member of the Judenrat, directed the Supply Authority inside the Ghetto, where he earned the reputation of being a competent and honest man. He helped the JFO as best he could. He was killed on 2 May 1943, during the German assault of the bunker on Franciskanska Street where he had taken refuge.
